Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad.
A few months ago, my husband and I went on a little road trip with our kids to catch a glimpse of the California's super-bloom of poppy flowers. My husband didn't just walk along the trail with Sam, he was also carrying our son in front as well as the backpack, umbrella and everything else. Just so I can capture the pretty flowers. As I was trying to catch up, I saw this beautiful sight of them and quickly took the photo. This is by far my favorite photo of them together.
My husband is the kind of man to ask for little but gives so much in return. He's the type of man that will give you his very last dollar in his wallet if you are in need. I love you my dear husband. You are more than I can ever ask for and a great role model to our children.
This dish is especially special to me because it was one of the first dish my late father taught me to make when I was around 12 years old: caramelized pork meat with cucumbers and rice.
I miss my father so much! Everything I do has been inspired from the goodness of his heart and I hope I make him proud of the woman I am today.
Happy Father's Day Dad, my Husband, to all the Dads and Dads-to-be!
With love, Kim
